In alignment with United Way Worldwide and its bylaws, United Way of McPherson County strives to be a model of diversity and inclusion.  We respect value, and celebrate the unique attributes, characteristics, and perspectives that are represented in our local community.  We believe that collaboration allows us to collectively and effectively address the issues that face the communities within our sphere of influence.  Therefore, it is our aim that our partners, strategies, and investments reflect these core values: 

• We value the visible and invisible qualities that make each individual a unique member of our community.
• We recognize that every person brings a unique perspective and experience to advance our mission and progress our fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our community.

Underlying these values is our commitment to promote a community that preserves opportunities and improves the lives all people who make McPherson County their home. As such, we seek to dismantle barriers, with a specific lens toward promoting fair and equitable access to resources. In this way, the UWMC stands unified in its opposition to racial and ethnic discrimination. This commitment is represented in our employment standards, leadership, partner organizations, allocation of resources, and volunteer staff.
