The 10th Annual McPherson County United Way Triathlon was once again a huge success. Thank You to all of the volunteers, participants, sponsors, family members, fans, and to the community of McPherson for helping to make this a great day for everyone involved. This annual event brings people together young and old, near and far to participate in a morning of competition, fun, and fellowship. We are blessed to have such a supportive community to build on the success each year.

As this was the 10th annual Triathlon the United Way Triathlon committee, headed by Scott Barkley, chose to add a new twist to the event. For 2017 we added a youth registration to our event. The youth could participate in the event with shorter swim, run, and bike distances. We accepted youth registration from 5 to 15 years of age. Our expectations were shattered when we had over 35 young people sign up and compete in the triathlon.

We look forward to the 2018 triathlon event. Keep an eye on the website next spring and be sure to register early. Thanks again to everyone involved for making this such a HUGE SUCCESS!!!
